About The Hotel
The hotel is a mysterious 12th century building of the Cistercian Abbey, which is enhanced by the beautiful landscape of the Pilica river valley. The past, present, and future of „Podklasztorze” are intertwined to create a cultural marvel expressed through the architecture of the Hotel.
In 1176 King Kazimierz Sprawiedliwy gave Sulejow to Cistersian. Afterwards they built a church and monastery on the right bank of the Pilica River. Only the Roman Church and chapter-house arsenal with music tower have been preserved from the abbey. Today there are a number of excellent examples of Roman architecture which include: The Krakow gate, moresque tower, attic tower and knight’s tower. In July of 1990 our firm established the „Podklasztorze” hotel; we have modern and luxurious accommodations for over 120 people .
Based on years of experience we provide professional services and strive to satisfy each guest. Thanks to our interesting and spatial floor plans and facility we can organise unique banquets, meetings, conferences, training seminars, courses, and departure sessions. Our visitors can take advantage of our 6 conference rooms - "Krakowska", "Opacka", "Attykowa", "Przy Arsenale”, „Muzealna”, „Ziemianska”, with the largest able to fit 100 people.
When the day is done our guests can retreat to any one of our apartments, single or double rooms; the hotel has 120 beds. Recreation also abounds and we boast a swimming pool, sauna, SPA, billiards, mountain bicycles, and horse carriage rides. Our high quality restaurant serves excellent dishes, such as „Rycerska”, and our diners always enjoy their meals among the architecture and picturesque setting.
Here you can participate in and witness a chivalrous struggle and mediaeval feasts, also meet face to face with monastic ghosts. Some of the attractions include artistic events, bonfire feasts, and study tours of the surrounding area of Sulejow with its outstanding natural beauty.
